 Cris Doornbos Cris Doornbos is the President and CEO of David C. Cook. He assumed responsibilities on September 6, 2005. Before joining Cook, Mr. Doornbos invested 22 years of his career with Zondervan Christian Communications Company serving as an Executive Vice President for the past 10 years. Mr. Doornbos holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Leadership and Organizational Development from Calvin College. Mr. Doornbos and his wife, Trudy, have two children; their daughter recently graduated from his alma mater and their son plans to attend the Colorado Mountain College. He is an avid reader, enjoys movies, is a certified scuba diver and a serious slalom water skier. C. Ryan Dunham Ryan is the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing for David C Cook. A 17 year sales and marketing veteran in Christian Publishing, Ryan is responsible for setting global sales and marketing strategies for all distribution channels to improve revenue, market share and brand awareness for David C Cook's various product lines and the organization as a whole. He has spoken at the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association and the Christian Management Association among others. Ryan received a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Bowling Green State University. He and his wife Jodi and their two sons, Jonah and Seth live in Colorado Springs, CO, United States. Scott Miller Scott Miller is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Support Operations at David C. Cook. Scott has worked at Cook for the past twelve years and has prior experience at Price Waterhouse, Hewlett-Packard, and Deluxe Corporation. In addition to his Finance responsibilities Scott is responsible for Human Resources, Information Technologies, and Logistics. He earned his Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Delaware and his MBA in Finance from Cornell University. Scott has been an adjunct professor for 20 years teaching graduate level Finance courses at a local University. Scott and his wife Cynthia enjoy all the outdoor activities in Colorado with their five children. They also have a passion for worldwide evangelism leading mission trips in Africa, Asia, and South America as well as volunteering in their local church. Dan Rich In his role as Senior Vice President and publisher, Dan Rich is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans, policies, and procedures to optimize the acquisition, concepting, and production of ministry products. Dan's extensive experience in Christian publishing spans more than 36 years and brings to Cook one of the Industry's strongest and most effective executive level publishers. Dan comes to Cook from his most recent position as publisher of Navpress Books and Bible studies. Over his career, Dan has served in senior leadership roles as president and publisher of WaterBrook Press, president and publisher of Questar (Multnomah) Publishers, senior vice president at Word Publishing, senior vice president of Development and Communications at the Navigators, and vice president at Thomas Nelson Publishers. He is a pathfinder in Christian publishing: Dan is the founding publisher of WaterBrook Press, a founding member of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, and the founding director and publisher of Navpress and Discipleship Journal. Eric Thurman Eric Thurman is President of Global Mission at David C. Cook and in that role he demonstrates his international expertise, extensive leadership accomplishments and overall zeal to see people come to Christ. Before joining Cook, Thurman was CEO of Geneva Global Inc. Earlier in his career he served as President of HOPE International and Opportunity International, where he supervised large programs in 30 countries. Christianity Today Magazine said, "Eric Thurman, coauthor of the book A Billion Bootstraps, probably has more experience thinking about implementing microfinance programs than any other evangelical leader." His book is popular introduction to the microcredit movement. Thurman is leading expansion of David C. Cook's programs in difficult countries. Cook's global ministry supports churches that are growing quickly, yet struggling because of limited freedom or extreme poverty. Last year, donations through Cook's Global Mission provided spiritual growth resources to more than 5 million people. Eric is married and has two grown children.
