Wildwood Forest!

What fun! Wildwood Forest VBS!
Aren't you glad you came?

Standing Tall Together is this year's David C. Cook mission project. Throughout VBS, Adventurers will raise money to provide the gospel and a renovated youth center for children in Ukraine.

When VBS is over, Ukrainian children will discover the love of God as they receive a beautifully illustrated section of the Bible called The Life of Christ—translated into their own language. In addition, part of the money raised across the country will be put toward the renovation of a youth house in Lviv, Ukraine.

The Adventurer's generosity will provide supplies, desks, and literature for underprivileged Ukrainian children.

Their gifts will also fund an outreach event for 3,000 to 4,000 youth in the square in Rivne (Riv-nah), and will allow for the distribution of two outreach book resources, 100 Bible Games for Children and 100 Children's Club Activities to orphanages in Ukraine.

"God's voice thunders in marvelous ways: he does great things beyond our understanding." (Job 37:5)

Ukraine Mission Project

You gave your offerings and more offerings are being received every day.

Goal: $100,000
Today's Number: $46,515

How Wildwood Forest Funds will be used.

  • To give poor children and orphans in the Ukraine a portion of the Picture New Testament called Life of Christ. Kids will love the comic-book style illustrations. Each book costs $1.00.
  • To renovate a youth center in the town of Lviv (pronounced Lah-VIV). Children who are struggling economically and socially will have a safe place to play and learn.
  • To sponsor an event for Ukrainian children and adults where many will accept God's offer of love and salvation.
The funds raised through the Wildwood Forest VBS program will be used in a variety of ways to bless children in Ukraine.

When we asked our partners in ministry in Ukraine how they would like to use the funds, their first response was an enthusiastic "more books!" So, of course, we will honor their request and print more of the hugely popular books we provided last year.

After some thought, they had other requests as well. One ministry wants to have a street festival in the square of one of the major cities of Western Ukraine, Rivne. The idea is to share who Jesus is in a very practical and fun way, especially for those youth and adults who haven't been exposed to Christianity through family or church.

Another way that a ministry would like to use some funds is to renovate a youth center that is used as a central meeting place for youth who want to deepen their faith through fellowship with other Christians.

Right now, the place has run-down furniture and needs a lot of work. But with the funds received from Wildwood Forest VBS, it will get spruced up and attract even more young people to the good work that goes on there!

No matter what the project is, every penny raised will go to Ukraine to help people either experience the living Christ for the first time or to deepen their faith if they have already come into relationship with Him.
