Jesus is Lord of All
In today's world of "manmade super heroes," children need to be reminded
of Bible individuals who were genuine heroes, performing the work God had for
them. ChariotVictor is pleased to present this series of action figures designed
to accompany timeless Bible stories. Children can act out their favorite Bible
lessons with each Discovery Bible Action Figure. The following
suggestions are provided to help you create valuable play and learning experiences
for children at home or in the classroom:
Share a Bible Story About Jesus
Read the story of how Jesus fed more than 5,000 people with just five loaves
of bread and two fish (John 6:1-13). Ask the children how it feels to be hungry.
Discuss how Jesus cares about our needs today just as He cared about the needs
of the people on that mountain a long time ago.
Teach About Sharing
In the story, the little boy in the crowd was willing to give all the food
he had so Jesus could help others. Discuss how hard it is for us to share at
times and what Jesus can accomplish through us if we give everything over to
Him!
Talk About Miracles
Let children help you bake mini-loaves of bread or rolls and fish sticks
to eat. Ask, "Would this be enough to feed our whole family or class?"
Talk about how Jesus performed a miracle when He fed 5,000 men with just five
loaves and two fish. Discuss Jesus' other miracles found in the Gospels, such
as Mark 8:22-26, Luke 5:4-11, or John 11:1-44.
Help Children Understand Stewardship
After the people had eaten all they needed, Jesus told the disciples to
collect all the leftover food so nothing would be wasted. Discuss wastefulness
and ways children can be good stewards of all they have.
