Your Healthcare David C Cook offers staff and their families health, dental, prescription drug, and vision insurance. Current medical insurance is a Preferred Provider Option (PPO) medical benefit to all regular employees, regularly scheduled to work 35 hours or more per week. We offset a large portion of the monthly premiums, even on family coverage, and premium deductions are pre-tax.
Your Time Off David C Cook wants our employees to maintain a good work/life balance! For full-time, regular employees we provide nine (9) paid holidays per calendar year and you will accrue vacation time on a biweekly basis at a rate of ten (10) days over the first year of employment (prorated for regular employees scheduled to work 20 to 39 hours based on percentage of forty (40) hours worked). Better yet, it increases one (1) day each year of continuous service up to a limit of twenty (20) days.
Regular, full-time salaried employees have a flexible schedule that allows them to take time off for illness or for personal needs. Full-time hourly employees currently receive forty (40) hours of personal time per year, and regular, part-time employees accrue personal time on a pro-rated basis.
Your Life Insurance (group and supplemental) David C Cook currently provides each employee term life insurance coverage. All regular employees regularly scheduled to work thirty (30) hours or more per week are currently eligible for Ministry paid life insurance at 1.5 times the employee's basic annual earnings, $10,000 of spouse coverage, and $5,000 coverage for each dependent child. Regular employees, scheduled to work 20-29 hours per week are eligible for a $2000 taxable life benefit. If our life insurance coverage for the employee, employee's spouse, and dependent children does not meet your needs, we offer employees additional life insurance at a competitive corporate rate.
Your Flexible Spending Program Currently, all regular employees are eligible to participate in a dependent care spending account and/or a health care spending account, which allows a pretax deduction to be made to cover un-reimbursed healthcare costs and dependent care expenses.
Your Disability Coverage David C Cook currently offers a Ministry paid short-term disability program to all regular employees, regularly scheduled to work thirty (30) hours a week or more. After 180 days of a continuous qualifying disability, employees are eligible to apply for long-term disability.
Your 401(k) David C Cook also encourages retirement saving by allowing staff to contribute up to the federal maximum each year to a 401(k) plan on a pre-tax basis. Matching will occur per the current plan guidelines.
